It’s been more than a week since we got back from the holiday at the French Riviera. For the record, I would rather stay there for…forever.  As I mentioned here, not once, that part of the world had enchanted me, long time ago, by its grandeur, glam, romantic nooks and true beauty, in every aspect of the local life.

I visited Côte d’Azur for the first time at the age of nine and the most important sensation I took from it, was that everything in this world can be made with grace and style. Things are supposed to be delightful. I will remember that forever. 

People there, in the Southern France, are relaxed, cheerful and extremely courteous. The joy of life is present in the way they dress, too. They love colours, accessories and playful elegance. The streets itself are vivid, too, with pretty building’s facades, striped awnings and flood of oleanders and palms everywhere.  

When I watch older ladies, dressed in bright clothes with hats and bold necklaces, going to the beach or walk with their dogs, I’m getting the feeling that the best fun starts at one’s retirement. If you have enough luck, to spend it by the azure blue sea.

Dress like Grace Kelly

 Yet with the words “French Riviera”, all kinds of finesse outfit ideas immediately pop up in my mind. Red carpet dress for the famous film festival in Cannes. Nautical style for the sailing day on the yacht, chic and refined look for the diner in an elegant restaurant by the sea.

All the stars and the style icons have been hanging out here, at Côte d’Azur, for decades and it all has written into its DNA.

With my mind, inspired by the French coast lifestyle, I put together the mood board with some outfit ideas.  As summer is not going anywhere yet, we can glam up our everyday life a bit, can’t we?
