Grand Getaway

Pack just a few essentials, wear the dress you feeling gorgeous in, take your favourite companion and go wherever comes to your mind. You can choose transit by plane, boat, train or a car. The only condition is, it must be a trip to the place where you have never been before. It can be reached within one hour by car or two days by plane. That is not important.

I can’t even say, how much I love the idea of a spontaneous escape. It’s one of my dreams, coming to the airport with almost nothing but a passport and a credit card, and choose a random flight to somewhere beautiful. Or, go for a long road trip with no specific plan, choosing the next destination just on the way from the previous one.

As my summer was a bit busy by other activities than sunbathing and swimming in the sea, my desire to pursue grand getaway was almost unbearable. The cooperation with BMW inspired us, with my man, to go to at least small three days lasting trip, but in a big style BMW 430i Cabrio.

Well, Lebanese roots are strong, so don’t blame me I have a weakness for convertible versions. While SUVs are not my thing at all, the feeling of freedom I have with the wind in my hair and a borderless panoramic view on the sky above, when passing the country in this cabrio, was highly addictive. Not mentioning, this babe is one of the sexiest cars of the show off category.

Sometimes, the obstacles like lack of time or money can encourage one to be more creative and search for different kind of opportunities. For me, the real breakthrough was to feel like an explorer in a neighbouring country. To be specific, in the mountain of Beskydy in Moravia (the Czech Republic).

…in a small oasis

Usually, my credo is “the further, the better”, because I need to hear other language, see different kind of architecture, new colours of the sunset, think about different things and get inspired again. But, yeah, I can tell you, most of us have such places closer than we ever think.

I had everything I mentioned just after four hours of comfortable ride in a sight-seeing speed, with few stops for a coffee or to taste some delicious local cheese. Always with the stunning views of the picturesque country.

Because being an explorer is a state of mind, and it’s a matter of survival for any wandering soul, to switch on that “adventurer mode” as often as possible.
