I think I never have enjoyed more the opportunity to layer clothes, than this winter, thanks to current trends. Poncho, hat, turtleneck and flare jeans are timeless, but this season each of them is a must and I cannot be happier.
Wearing them together, they are like predestined for an elegant, chic and mysterious look.
I used to have poncho in my closet before, but this season it seems to be pretty everywhere. That’s why I try to wear my new poncho of classic houndstooth pattern in an unusual way.
I appreciate the way it draws out a silhouette, when I wear it asymmetric and add a belt. Using a belt over the part of the poncho accentuate waist, while the rest of the fabric creates an untypical cape. More and more I do prefer the type of clothes, emphasizing only a certain part of the body, while the rest is lost in a freely blowing fabric.
I felt like the hat is necessary, to complete the look. A hat, on one side, always attracts attention, but on the other, gives the privacy feeling. And I love that feeling so much!
Especially in this case, because of the shadow it casts on my face, during the sunny afternoon. Both, hat and long black gloves, add a bit of drama even to the simple look.
Is that my way to realize how it would be to become a woman version of Zorro? Anyway, it feels good. 🙂
