The most underestimated thing in the world, I think, is a one-on-one conversation. In friendship, family and love relation. The lack of the “real talks” can easily lead to the estrangement between friends or family members and can even terminate the relationship. Nevertheless, sometimes it seems people do everything to avoid meaningful discussion. Some studies say many couples in average talk to each other less than 30 minutes a day, outside the conversations connected to household or childcare, others claim it’s only 7 minutes daily. That sounds scary.

Magic Connection
Parties with friends or holiday with another couple can be fun, but nothing compares to the time in two. I believe it’s not possible to maintain intimacy in any relationship, if there is always some kind of “noise” around. The true is, the conversation in two requires more than just reserving their precious time. Even more important is the courage and interest to talk and listen honestly. And, yes, sometimes it even takes some tears, or an argument, but, isn’t it much better than a tedious silence or unspoken remorse?
While in a group of people, discussion are shallow, mostly about everything and nothing, in two we can open up and bring deeper topics inside.
No one usually says “I’m not happy with my life at the moment” among five other people. Everyone is just fine, or at least pretends to be fine even though it’s far from reality. I love to spend one-on-one time with my dearest ones, with my mom, sister, few girlfriends…and at the first place, with my significant other.
Conversations no one else can really understand is important part of that magic connection between two people. That kind of connection deserves to be treated like a treasury.
Picnic
This picnic in two was one of those experiences, when I fully enjoyed our common ability to drink, eat and discuss life, universe and everything (this is my man’s liked paraphrase). If I had a DIY blog, I would give you a recipe how to spend an inexpensive luxury day with someone you care about. Something like: buy your favorite types of cheese, grape, prosciutto and Prosecco in a supermarket. Then take a wooden board, two glasses and forks. Pack i all and bring to the place with a wonderful view, a bit far away from the crowd. Start to drink, eat and TALK. Enjoy!
