Season of Unpredictable

November 2, 2016

Welcome to the season that I call unpredictable. Even though it might seem so, I don’t use the word in the title to describe myself. Not even that wouldn’t fit… I’m talking about the weather of course. If you live in the part of the world, where I do, you know, what I mean. I say this season is worse than very unstable and moody woman.

If I take an umbrella, I can be sure the only way I use it, will be the annoying weight causing me difficulties, all day long, until I finally forget it somewhere. But don’t worry about the loss, next time, when I go out, expecting the sun, in the moment of desperation, I would buy another umbrella for a single use, from a random seller, before I become miss wet T-shirt right at the busy square.

Do I sound negative now? Please pardon me, but I just became the mentioned type of unstable, moody woman after our well-planned shooting on Sunday. We decided to shoot that day, because the most proclaimed Norwegian weather forecast website promised us the sun. Well, the reality was the mixture of sun (by far the smallest part), rain and the heaviest clouds you can imagine, combined with a little typhoon.

At least, even in that mess I managed to feel stylish and surprisingly comfortable in each of the described situations. It might not stop me to curse, but it’s still something.

I fell for blouses with huge sleeves for the first sight (Instagram proof I’m clearly not the only one). This time I decided to wear this beautiful blouse from Shein backwards, because I prefer neckline on the back, rather than in front. Especially, when I’m not in a hot climate area. The shape of the top makes it possible to wear it both ways.

The best part is, it perfectly complements with my cape, flare jeans and long gloves I bought last season. What is better than trends that bring classical pieces to our wardrobe in the same time?  All these garments are like that. The great idea is also to layer blouse with another shirt or turtleneck. ‎

If living in an unstable climate taught me something, it’s definitely the flexibility. Not only it’s challenging to stay chic in such conditions, so I have to get really creative, when pulling my outfits together. I’ve also learned nothing is granted. So when there is sunny day, I don’t wait till all my work is done and my home crystal clear, I try to go outside, for walk, for shooting or simply to absorb vitamin D. It’s quite necessary for me and it can change me immediately from that moody creature into an easy going and witty person.

So when after that crazy Sunday, other day turned out to be sunny, we made at least a short break to shoot another outfit with my long black romper, for special occasions. So after all, mission was happily accomplished.

Haha I totally know what you mean! This season is so unpredictable indeed – it always starts to rain when I am without an umbrella and when I have one with me the sun is shining like never before 😉 I love the different looks here – and how you matched them to different occasions 🙂

I laughed when I read the analogy of the season being like a moody woman! haha
Love the photos, you look stunning. Even if it’s unpredictable weather, the season does make for some beautiful foliage!
